I just received this picture from my friend in Kirkuk. The guy on the left is an interpreter for his battalion. When this picture was taken, he was a fearsome Peshmerga fighter. Today the "Pesh" is a key component of the local Iraqi Security Force's effort in Iraqi-Kurdistan, one of the most peaceful areas in Iraq where yesterday voting was reportedly huge.
